Being mindful is being conscious of the moment. Not lost in the past, or drifting in the future. Both can have positives; lessons learned, intentions and goals. But when we forget to return to the moment, we lose the power.
Mindfulness does not involve the ego. Not trying to control, push away or make something linger. It is about being present.
